Pasqualino, an Italian everyman, deserts the army during World War II. Germans capture him and send him to a prison camp, where he does just about anything to survive. In lengthy flashbacks, we see him and his family of seven unattractive sisters (the seven beauties), his accidental murder of one sister's lover, his confession and imprisonment, his calculated switch to an asylum, his rape of a patient, and his volunteering to be a soldier to escape confinement. To the chagrin of his obese German captor, his weak and cowardly character enables him to survive the war and return to Naples where he has a plan to survive the next world catastrophe.

When political thugs murder an opponent's volunteer and also kill a cop, chief inspector Verjeat believes the politician who hired them is as guilty as the murderous goon. Verjeat's pursuit of the councilman, Lardatte, gets him a warning from his superiors. When he embarrasses Lardatte while disarming a hostage (the dead volunteer's father), Verjeat is told he's being transferred within a week. He speeds up his hunt for the goon and, with LefÃ©vre, one of his young detectives, he engineers a complicated scheme to buy more time before the transfer. How should Verjeat play out his values of honor and duty?

Set in the Nazi-controlled, northern Italian state of Salo in 1944, four dignitaries round up sixteen perfect specimens of youth and take them together with guards, servants and studs to a palace near Marzabotto. In addition, there are four middle-aged women: three of whom recount arousing stories whilst the fourth accompanies on the piano. The story is largely taken up with their recounting the stories of Dante and De Sade: the Circle of Manias, the Circle of Shit and the Circle of Blood. Following this, the youths are executed whilst each libertine takes his turn as voyeur.

The year is 2018. There is no crime and there are no more wars. Corporations are now the leaders of the world, as well as the controllers of the people. The defending championship team, the Houston team led by the determined ten-year veteran Johnathan E., are looking to repeat as champions. However, Bartholomew, the sinister corporate head, wants Johnathan to retire, even though he is the most respected athlete of his time. Johnathan's rebellious quest will not come out with complications, both for him and his teammates, after he decides to continue playing despite Bartholomew's threats.

This, the second adaptation of Raymond Chandler's novel, is much closer to the source text than the original - _Murder, My Sweet (1944)_ (qv), which tended to avoid some of the sleazier parts of the plot - but still concerns private eye Philip Marlowe's attempts to locate Velma, a former dancer at a seedy nightclub and the girlfriend of Moose Malloy, a petty criminal just out of prison. Marlowe finds that once he has taken the case, events conspire to put him in dangerous situations, and he is forced to follow a confusing trail of untruths and double-crosses before he is able to locate Velma.

When Nora Walker gets pregnant, her beloved husband, the pilot Captain Walker, is considered missing in action in World War II when his plane crashes in a battle. However, in the middle of a stormy night, the boy has a nightmare with his father and runs to her mother's bed, finding her naked with "uncle" Frank, becoming immediately deaf, dumb and blind. The years go by, and her mother lives with a complex of guilty of the psychological problem of her son. One night, Tommy finds a pinball machine in a junkyard, and his natural skills transform him in a champion, and when he supersedes and heals his problems, a legion of fans follows him, as if he were a new Messiah.

The first Franco/Erwin Dietrich effort is probably Franco's most exploitive film with numerous sadistic scenes of torture and perversion. A true exploitation masterpiece that only a director like Franco could make. Maria (Lina Romay) is sentenced to prison for life for killing her father that attempted to rape. She is sent to a special section of the jail know for it's cruel and sadistic treatment of prisoners. The wardress (Monica Swinn) is a sadistic lesbian who knows no mercy and takes pleasure in her job. Maria seduces a male nurse who she eventually kills in order to spring an escape from the hellhole. A must for all fans of sadistic WIP films and for Jess Franco addicts. Also stars Franco regulars Paul Muller, Martine Stedilm and Eric Falk.
